Job Overview
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm | Job Location Type: In Person
The Sheppard Pratt School in Cumberland is a nonpublic special education day school dedicated to providing year-round educational, vocational, and daily living services to students in grades K-12. Our focus lies in supporting students with emotional disabilities and autism, empowering them to succeed academically and beyond. What to expect.
You will work under the supervision of a licensed behavior analyst to implement behavior intervention plans, collect data, and provide support to students with developmental disabilities or behavioral challenges.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Assisting in the development and implementation of individualized intervention plans (BIPs).
- Collecting and accurately recording data on client behavior during intervention sessions.
- Assisting in conducting functional behavior assessments (FBAs) and ongoing assessments to monitor progress.
- Providing training and support to caregivers and staff on behavior management techniques and intervention strategies.
- Participating in team meetings, case conferences, and professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge.
What we need from you.
- One of the following combinations of education and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 1 year of related experience.
- Associate degree and 2 years of related experience.
- High school degree or GED and 4 years of related experience.
- Must meet Sheppard Pratt's requirements to operate a company vehicle:
- Be 18 years old with at least 2 years of driving experience.
- Have a valid driver's license.
- Driving record with 2 points or less for the most 3 recent years of driving history.

Pay for this position is determined on a number of factors, including but not limited to, education and years and level of related experience.
