Shift: 36 hours per week, 7pm to 7am Job Location Type: In Person
What to expect.
Float Mental Health Workers, under close supervision of the Staff Nurse, participate in the planning and evaluation of patient needs based on patient behaviors. Provides direct patient care services in accordance with the treatment plan and under the direction of a professional nurse. Assists in providing a safe and therapeutic environment according to established policies and procedures.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Float Mental Health Worker! This position is located on Sheppard Pratt's main campus in Elkridge (Howard County). Float Mental Health Workers support at least two service lines. The service line assignment will be determined by the applicant's experience/interest and organizational needs. The service lines are:
- Child & Adolescent Services
- Young Adult Services
- General Adult
- Co-Occuring Disorders
- Thought Disorders

Pay for this position is determined on a number of factors, including but not limited to, years and level of related experience. The pay range for this position is between $19.36 and $28.70 an hour.
What we need from you.
- HS Diploma/GED. Human Services related degree or past direct care or related experience strongly preferred.
- Must be available to work every other weekend (Saturday & Sunday).
- All new clinical staff will begin their extended clinical orientation/training immediately following your first day of employment.
