Job Overview
The Psychiatric Urgent Care provides comprehensive behavioral health assessments, crisis intervention, and disposition planning for individuals presenting with urgent psychiatric and substance use concerns.
Travel between locations may be required based on operational needs.
Schedule
- Monday-Friday: 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM
- Saturday: 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Towson PUC
- Sunday: 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Baltimore Washington PUC
What to expect:
The Therapist in Psychiatric Urgent Care conducts comprehensive psychiatric assessments, including mental status examinations, diagnostic summaries, risk assessments, and level-of-care determinations for individuals experiencing behavioral health crises. This position requires strong clinical judgment to evaluate psychiatric and substance use concerns, coordinate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals, and facilitate appropriate treatment recommendations.
The Therapist reviews collateral information, medical records, prescription monitoring data, laboratory results, and other relevant clinical information to support diagnostic decision-making and disposition planning. The role is ideal for clinicians who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about providing patient-centered, evidence-based behavioral healthcare.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive behavioral health assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and risk assessments.
- Determine appropriate levels of care and make treatment and disposition recommendations including inpatient, outpatient, and community-based services.
- Review medical records, collateral information, laboratory results, and prescription monitoring data to support clinical decision-making.
- Facilitate referrals and transitions of care to ensure continuity of services and positive patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care and treatment.

What we need from you:
- Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program.
- Holds an active Maryland licensure as LCSW-C and LCPC.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary
- Experience in emergency services, crisis intervention, psychiatric hospital, urgent care, or behavioral health settings preferred.
The base pay range for this position is $75,000 minimum to $85,000 maximum.?Pay for this position is determined on a number of factors, including but not limited to, board certifications and years and level of related experience.
